Comprised of a religious community of men who dress and act like women, the Hijras of India are the country's most elusive subculture. Also known as eunuchs, the Hijras are at once reviled and accepted, and challenge categories of gender and human sexual variation. This story will take a look at "India's third gender," who live on the margins of society but who are - in every sense - a part of the human community.
