I found out about Nude-In-Public through the internet. Of course, right away, I thought it was a unique site I hadn't seen before and was interested in doing a story on it. That's because unlike other exhibitionist sites, the nudity was completely in the open among crowds of people and not in somebody's garage or hotel room or private space. So, after a few calls, off to Europe…

The funny thing about this story is that I became almost indifferent to the nudity that I was seeing. By the time our 4th shoot with Eva started, (associate producer) Pedro and I were completely unphased while she walked around naked. Since I was seeing it through the camera lens, I only realized afterwards, looking at the tape, what had happened in front of me. As well as producing the story, I also did camerawork and I can describe my experience from the cameraman's perspective because I was also one of the people "looking".

The most exciting shoot was the one in the market with the 2 girls, Erika and Julia. It was very much like guerilla filmmaking because once the clothes were off and the shoot was on, everything happened in an instant and you had to have 6 eyes to capture everything that was going on. I tried to capture the feeling of being there, people's reactions to the nudity, as well as the girls themselves. It's hard to describe the rush of those few minutes because you didn't know what would happen and how people would react. It's also hard to imagine yourself in the girl's place. Ask yourself: would you be comfortable enough to walk in a crowded public place naked? I don't think many people would find the courage to do it. I know I wouldn't.

There is nothing wrong with nudity and putting it in public in a non-threatening way is maybe a nice way of challenging people to think about how they feel about their own nakedness.

In the end, there were no problems during the shoots and it was just a fun thing to experience.
