Emily and Paul are at the forefront of the 'Pony Play' movement in North America. 'Pony Play' is essentially a form of adult role playing in which people derive erotic pleasure from transforming themselves into pony or rider. We were interested in doing this story because, unlike other fetishes, those involved with 'Pony Play' take it very seriously - etiquette is almost more important than the fetish itself.

As I approached Paul and Emily's house, I had no idea what I would find. I wondered:

"Are there actual horses roaming about inside?"
"Am I going to do this interview in a dungeon?"
"What would my mother think of me right now?"

I quickly dismissed the thoughts and tentatively knocked on the door. When Emily and Paul answered, I was immediately more at ease. They were so…..well…. "normal".

I spent the day with the happy couple - learning as much about their relationship to one another as I learned about the fetish itself. As we were finishing up the shoot, Paul turned and asked the inevitable question:

"So, Cynthia…would you like for me to take a little ride on you?"….

While I did not accept the offer (I don't like to mix business with pleasure:), I truly believe that I left there with a broader sense of the world. The way I see it - whatever passes between two consenting adults is fine by me.
