As I sat and watched tape after tape of people smelling, sucking, licking and devouring toes, and heard foot lingo such as "foot jobs" (think… hand job) and "shrimper" (toe sucker), I began to have a renewed respect for the term "foot worship." How amazing to be so turned on to feet that the simple act of taking off somebody's shoe becomes a ritualistic striptease and the mere sight of his or her toes makes you immediately aroused.

I considered Alan Pratt's comment, "if ya got a kink and it lights you up on a regular basis than celebrate it. The great lesson that we're all here to learn is that diversity is the gift not the problem."

The story certainly shows the incredible diversity of fantasies about feet and foot ware. Pratt's parties are held on a weekly basis and attended by well over 100 foot lovers of all nationalities, sexual orientations and quirks. Tickling, sucking toes, trampling… men in business suits with bare feet, fish net stockings with red-painted toenails, sports socks… I began to see "the foot" as one of the most important sources of mythology.

The drinking of wine from the dainty slipper of a lover; the custom of tying shoes to the departing car of newlyweds; and of course the Cinderella story are all examples of the sexual power and erotic symbolism associated with shoes. And underneath this erotic sheath, the visual sensuality of the foot's contours, convolutions and toe cleavage make it the most popularly fetishized objects.

And so now I come home from work and I want to have my feet played with, kissed and licked ever so gently. I feel cheated that I didn't discover the 'erotic foot' earlier and I eagerly await summer's arrival.
