EROTIC PICASSO - episode 3-15
Although we try our best here at Sextv to give the subjects we interview the utmost respect, there are some interviews that are too funny not to make fun of. Such was the case with a certain Monsieur Lebel in "Erotic Picasso". If you've ever taken an art history course, you've probably met the Lebel-type. A portly man in a hounds tooth jacket with wonderfully silver hair and a matching beard - Jean Jacques Lebel's outer appearance screams "art critic". But underneath this stereotypical exterior, Lebel is a man with passion; with fire in his belly. He's got a thing or two to say about art…and he does not want to be interrupted. I regret to say that this is exactly what happened. In the midst of one of Lebel's lengthy and cryptic monologues about Picasso, the field producer's cell phone rang. Lebel's eyes grew to twice their size as he screamed, "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!!!!"
While the poor field producer scurried away to silence the loathsome phone, Lebel swayed, and muttered about whether he would be able to "remember where he was…" And then the unimaginable occurred. About 15 minutes later, another cell phone rang. This time, Lebel lost it. His head cocked and hair askew he suddenly looked a heck of a lot like that Muppet pianist from Sesame Street ("Oh I'll never get it right. Never, never, NEVER!!!!"). I would like with you some of the gems from Monsieur Lebel that did not make it into the final story. After reading them, I hope you may have a better understanding of why he was so upset when interrupted… "The asshole is a third eye…the eye of the mind. The puritans thought it was up here (pointing to head) but in fact, the third eye is the asshole." "Picasso is trying to find out who he is and he's peeping through the hole which is the vagina or it is not the vagina - there are plenty of other holes in our bodies." "It is through the eye that desire circulates between individuals. Between the image in the painting and the mind's eye - so the asshole is the symbol of that third eye" The moral of this story?
